Welcome! You have found one of Corning and our region's finest community resources: The Southeast Steuben County Library. Formerly the Corning Area Public Library, from 1930 to the mid-1970s it was housed in the historic World War Memorial Library building on Pine Street. In 1975 the Library moved to the Nasser Civic Center Plaza, its current home. The Library serves the City of Corning and the towns of Erwin, Corning, Caton, Lindley, Hornby and Campbell. The Library is a member of the Southern Tier Library System.
Of course Library cards are FREE to residents of our service area.

With high speed internet, public access computers, a maker space, books, DVDs, digital collections (eBooks, audio books and streaming content), online classes and more, the Southeast Steuben County Library provides free and open access to collections, electronic resources and innovative services which anticipate, support and respond to the ever-changing informational, cultural and leisure needs of all people within our community.
