Apr 29 - May 1    24th Annual Wine & Herb Fesitval

Get a head start on your herb garden as you travel the trail sampling wine and herb-featured food pairings at all 16 wineries. Take home a souvenir wine glass, as well as the recipe cards to match along with a potted herb or veggie plant from each winery visited.

On Friday, visit Six Mile Creek, Long Point, Treleaven by King Ferry or Montezuma to start your weekend plans. On Saturday, visit Treleaven by King Ferry and Long Point wineries at a special time, 9:00am. All 16 wineries will participate in the event the rest of the weekend.

Make sure to hand in your ticket to be eligible to win one of our grand prizes.

May 12    Ribbon Cutting - Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort

May 14     Heritage Village of the Southern Finger Lakes
 - Mark your calendars for May 14 – the Heritage Village Craft Beverage Expo! The event will take place at the Heritage Village of the Southern Finger Lakes (formerly the Patterson Inn Museum) at 73 W. Pulteney St. in Corning NY. Join us between 12-4pm for local craft beverage tastings, as well as seminars on Intro to home beer making, history of hops, home brew contest, and more.
 
With the ticket price you will receive a complimentary hand thrown pottery tasting cup. There will also be demonstrations of blacksmithing, hearth cooking, and joinery. Food by Corning Catering will be available for purchase.

There will be a special appearance by Ben Keene, Managing Editor for Beer Advocate Magazine, who will hold a special discussion on the Past, Present, and Future of Craft Brewing in America including the role brewing played during Colonial times, the landscape of craft brewing today, and the direction brewing might be headed in. There will be time for Q&A at the end of Ben’s talk. A freelance writer and former outdoor guide, Ben has written extensively on craft beer for publications such as Beer Advocate, The New York Times Guide to Essential Knowledge, Beer Connoisseur, as well as his own book The Great Northeast Brewery Tour. Ben will also be a Guest Judge for the Home Brewing Competition.

May 19 - May 22    Student Art Show
Free & open to the public. In the Auditorium.
Discover the extraordinarily creative talents of more than 2,000 local students on display at this year's Annual Student Art Show at The Corning Museum of Glass.The Student Art Show includes the works of students from elementary, middle and high schools in the Corning area. The artwork in the high school and middle school level is judged in 20 different media.
Student Art Show Scholarship
Each year, the Museum awards two local high school seniors scholarships to pursue their studies in art. The students, who must have decided to major in art in college, are chosen by their schools based on their artwork and academic standing. The recipients are recognized at the opening of the Annual Student Art Show.
No Museum admission is required to see the show.
