Glass Holiday Feast
Inspired by the warmth and kinship shared at tables throughout the holiday season, the Museum is happy to announce that the glass holiday feast will be on display again this holiday season.. Created by the Hot Glass Show team, the holiday feast features meal staples like turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Each year the feast grows as gaffers create and bring their favorite dishes to the table.

Make the Museum part of your holiday tradition! Take your family’s picture in front of our 14-foot ornament tree or get in the holiday spirit by going on a Winter Wonders Gallery Hunt. Enjoy a Hot Glass Demonstration, and submit your drawing to You Design It; We Make It for a chance to have your design made by one of our gaffers (included in Museum admission). Enjoy extended Make Your Own Glass hours (fee) and make a glass ornament or snowman. Please note that the Museum is closed December 24 and 25, and January 1.

Glassmaking Demos
Watch as expert glassmakers transform molten glass into beautiful objects at the live, narrated Hot Glass Demonstrations. Don’t miss the Flameworking and Glassbreaking Demos.
You Design It; We Make It!
Submit a drawing of something you’d like to see come alive in glass. One piece will be made during the Hot Glass Demonstration and pieces will be chosen daily for the flameworking demonstration. Glassmakers will choose drawings and make those pieces from start to finish.
Make Your Own Glass Ornaments, Snowmen, and Pendants

Breakfast or Lunch with Santa
A holiday tradition continues at The Corning Museum of Glass. For only $6 per person, enjoy Breakfast (8:30 am) or Lunch (12 pm) with Santa in the Museum’s Auditorium, with live entertainment provided. Reservations are required. Spaces fill quickly and may not be available on the day of the event.
Special Holiday Glassmaking Projects
Enjoy discounted Holiday Open House glassmaking experiences this weekend only, each day from 9 am to 5 pm. Make blown holiday ornaments, hot glass flowers and flameworked icicles for just $14 per item. Create fused flat-glass ornaments in the kiln, or sandblast festive designs on drinking glasses for $9 per item. Age restrictions apply to certain activities. All projects, except sandblasted items, need to cool overnight. Holiday Open House projects on December 3 and 4 are available for pickup after 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7. Shipping is available to the U.S. and Canada for an additional fee. NEW THIS YEAR: Advance registration for Holiday Glassmaking Activities is available online. Note that these activities are expected to sell out quickly and booking ahead of time is strongly encouraged. |
