The Rockwell Museum will celebrate the 40th anniversary in 2016 by presenting a series of public programs and exhibitions to commemorate the 1976 opening and celebrate the vision for the future.   Over 40 weeks, beginning in February through the November anniversary celebration, The Rockwell will introduce an aerial glass landscape exhibition by artist Richard Parrish, a National Parks ‘Art in the Park’s highlight tour (in celebration of the National Parks System 100 year anniversary), and more! Be the first to see some of the exciting transformations underway at The Rockwell!

About The Rockwell’s 40th Anniversary

In 1976, founders of The Rockwell Museum intended it to be a vibrant, relevant institution. Not only would our collections grow, but our mission would evolve as well. In anticipation of the upcoming 40th Anniversary in 2016, newly inspired permanent galleries will advance our expanded mission statement – Art about the American Experience. This enables us to enhance the core collection while also upgrading our exhibits and public programs.  We have our future sights set high in order to become a leader in displaying art about America to regional and national audiences, to be a culturally engaging place that challenges perspectives and to be a recognized educational resource.  Ultimately, we want The Rockwell to be a place that is accessible and comfortable to our regional community in order to sustain the next 40 years.

Hemenway to learn why the DOL is proposing changes, what changes we’re likely to see in the final regulations, and what you can do now in order to begin preparing for the changes that are almost surely forthcoming.
