West End Gallery-Reception: A Collection of Work by the Late Thomas S. Buechner

West End Gallery announces the opening of its new exhibit: A Collection of Paintings by the late Thomas S. Buechner.  There will be an opening reception on Friday, October 17 from 5-7:30 p.m., sponsored by Leigh Ann Evans Interior Design.  Music will be performed by William Groome.

Thomas S. Buechner, an internationally known painter, author, and lecturer, passed away in 2010.   His paintings are in many collections throughout the U.S. and beyond, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American Art. Buechner was a teacher, mentor and friend to many painters in the Southern Finger Lakes Region.
