Hike & Write
Tanglewood Nature Center
Thursday, July 25 from 6-8pm
Join The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes for an evening of light hiking and poetry writing at Tanglewood Nature Center, 443 Coleman Ave in Elmira, NY on Thursday, July 25 from 6-8pm.
Join poet, Michael Czarnecki, in a Hike & Write workshop at Tanglewood Nature Center for a guided journey of nature-inspired poetry and some independent writing time.
During the first part of the workshop we'll gather as a group, and Michael will encourage us to put down, in words, what we experience with our senses. The writing can be haiku, poetry, prose, journal notes, or whatever form you are drawn to. Then we'll go off on our own for a while to write, afterward gathering together again to share what we have created.
Please bring something to write on and something to write with. We will be outside the entire time so feel free to bring a water bottle, hat, and bug spray.
This event is free and open to the public. Register today at https://bit.ly/HikeWrite25.
