Connected by Glass: The Future of Environmentally Sustainable Glass Making

Join Artist Karen LaMonte and Dr. Mark Steen, VP of Sustainability and Climate Initiatives at Corning Inc., for an engaging discussion on the future of glassmaking practices and sustainability.

On both an industrial and personal scale, global concerns about climate change are impacting the future of the glassmaking process. In this Connected By Glass, Karen will describe her personal journey as an artist to negate the carbon footprint of her personal life and her work. Likewise, Mark will share the work Corning Incorporated is doing to minimize greenhouse gas emissions by developing new glass-based technologies to reduce carbon emissions in other products and industrial processes.

Join us on Zoom for Connected by Glass: The Future of Environmentally Sustainable Glass Making on September 9 at 6 pm EDT.  The event is free, and registration is required.

Unable to watch the live event? A recording of the event will be uploaded to YouTube. Plus, find hundreds of hours of live streamed demonstrations on the Corning Museum of Glass YouTube channel.
