For positively one night only on January 10, see The Grand Bohemian Troupe of Fancy Glass Workers at The Corning Museum of Glass. Over a span of 300 years, traveling flameworkers entertained and educated audiences around the world on the art, science, and skill of glassmaking. Learn about their lives and witness a modern take on their performances, featuring flameworkers who carry on some of the same traditions today.
Join librarian Rebecca Hopman and flameworkers Bandhu Dunham, David Sandidge, Caitlin Hyde, and Eric Goldschmidt for a special program and demonstration about this little-known facet of glass history. Bring the kids for a fun and fascinating evening; the first 50 through the door will receive a glass souvenir made by our talented troupe members.
