Dr. Jane Cook moved four years ago from the anonymity of a bench scientist in Corning Inc.’s research laboratory to become a sought-after lecturer, consultant, teacher, and advisor to artists, curators, educators, and the public, at CMoG and around the world. In this Behind the Glass lecture, she will talk about this journey from STEM to STEAM, of family, schooling, work, and art that prepared her to be the liaison between the worlds of glass art and science.
Behind the Glass lectures take place the second Thursday of the month. These events include the Museum’s popular Meet the Artist lectures, as well as talks by curators, writers, and historians. All lectures are free and open to the public. Watch lectures on our YouTube Channel.
