Bead It! for Families

Explore the world of beads in this special family activity (for ages 8+ with adult). Start with a guided tour of the special exhibition, Life on a String: 35 Centuries of the Glass Bead. Learn about the history of beads and the ways they have been used by different cultures. Then, watch a glass beadmaking demonstration and use beads to create a piece of art or jewelry. 2:00–4:00 p.m. $10 per participant. Registration suggested. More info at cmog.org/beads or 607.438.5112.
