The ARTS Council is excited and proud to present an evening with La Serpiente, a Mexican Contemporary Dance Troupe, joining us all the way from Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico.
The public performance will be held at the Thomas A. Edison High School in Elmira Heights, NY on Thursday November 10th from 6 - 7:30PM. The evening will include an hour-long contemporary dance performance by La Serpiente followed by a talk-back session with the performers.
About La Serpiente
La Serpiente is an independent contemporary dance company working out of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. Since their first production in 2001, they have created their own style of feeling and communicating with the world, creating a company that is a convergence of movement and the aesthetic vision of the group’s members. Treatise About the Line is a contemporary dance performance that explores the complexity of bodies moving through space and time.
This event is made possible with the generous support of Mid-Atlantic Arts, the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Southern Finger Lakes, and the Fair Games Grant.
