At 2300° Fahrenheit, hot glass gets interesting—and so do things at The Corning Museum of Glass. Enjoy glassmaking demonstrations, live music, and great food and drink. Free and open to the public.
Live Glassmaking Demonstrations featuring Davide Salvadore
World-renowned glass maestro, Davide Salvadore takes the floor of the Amphitheater Hot Shop for this sure-to-be exciting installment of 2300°. Davide often makes large, colorful sculptures which reflect diverse influences, such as African tribal imagery, Muranese roads, and the smokestacks of glasshouses.
Live Music by Afrobeta and Too Many Zooz
What do you get when you combine classical and modern musical styles with an ultra-hip duo? You get Afrobeta and what has been described as "dance-a-licious beats" of their cool, underground sound. Afrobeta will be bringing the house down in the Museum auditorium while Too Many Zooz, a band who's high-energy and vibrant sounds will keep the party going on the outdoor Courtyard Stage. You won't want to miss these two bands as they collide for an intense night of musical entertainment that can't be beat.
